The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) reported Sunday 459 new confirmed cases of coronavirus (Covid-19), of which 415 were from community and 44 from travellers returning from abroad who are subject to quarantine.
(MENAFN - Gulf Times) As part of its ongoing efforts to develop public services and move to the online mode of service delivery, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education has announced the launch a new service to upload the certificates of private school students on the National Student Information System (NSIS) website. This new service will take effect by the end of the 2020-2021 academic year, right after the students scores are recorded and approved. Private school students of grade 1 through grade 12 will be able to avail the new service by this time.
The Ministry s Private Schools Licensing Department stated that private school principals had already been instructed to upload all students certificates to the NSIS website so that parents could issue the certificates of their students through the Public Services Portal. In order to avail the new service, parents will have to create their own usernames and passwords.
(MENAFN - Gulf Times) The Supervisory Committee of Beautification of Roads and Public Places in Qatar joined hands with the Doha Toastmasters Club to plant trees on a road parallel to Doha Expressway, the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) said in a tweet on Saturday.
This came as part of the Qatar Beautification and Our Kids Planting Trees campaign that aims to plant 1mn trees and is implemented by the committee in co-operation with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment.
Doha Toastmasters Club president Akash Bhutada said, We thank the committee for giving us opportunity to participate in this wonderful initiative to plant 1mn trees, which is a great cause towards building Qatar and achieving its vision under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir.
